DESCRIPTION:

CITGO Synthetic Gear Lubricants are heavy-duty, synthetic gear and bearing lubricants designed for use in manual transmissions, transfer cases and differential axles of trucks, farm tractors, construction, passenger cars and miscellaneous industrial equipment. Blended from very high viscosity index, low pour point synthetic base stocks, these oils provide maximum protection to gears and bearings operating over a wide range of temperatures, speeds and loads. Their superb resistance to oxidation provides the benefit of extended drain intervals. Available in three viscosity grades: SAE 75W-90, 80W-140 and 50

APPLICATIONS:

CITGO Synthetic Gear Lubricants (SAE 75W-90 and 80W-140) are recommended for differentials, manual transmissions for which hypoid-type lubricants are required and transfer cases for heavy equipment – trucks, tractors, industrial gear drives, automobiles, farm machinery, etc. These products meet or exceed the following performance requirements: • API Service Classification GL-5 and MT-1 • SAE J2360; former U.S. Military Specification MIL-L-2105D and MIL-PRF-2105E • DANA SHAES 256, Rev. A, +429 (80W-140) • Mack GO-J Plus (75W-90) • Mack GO-J (80W-140) • ArvinMeritor O-76N (75W-90) • ArvinMeritor O-76B, O-80 (80W-140) • International TMS-6816 CITGO Synthetic Gear Lubricant SAE 50 is recommended for heavy-duty service in manual transmission for which the manufacturer normally recommends either engine oils or GL-1 to GL-4/MT-1 lubricants. This product contains antiwear, rust, oxidation, foam and corrosion inhibitors to protect bearings and synchronizers and to promote longer transmission life. As in the other products in this series, CITGO Synthetic Gear Lubricant SAE 50 provides improved start-up, easier shifting and less gear wear in low temperature environments. Less friction, less drag and improved oxidation resistance combine to provide fuel economy benefits and longer drain intervals.
